When Jennifer Anniston was quoted in Allure Magazine’s December 2022 issue as saying, “Pheonix Rising” would be the name of this chapter of her life, I knew immediately what I wanted to paint with her serving as the inspiration. Using my handy dough scraper and a swath of colour, the phoenix was (re)born. 
 
I wanted the silhouette to have a Jennifer feel, almost like a slinky dress at an awards show, but keep it blank. What fills that space in the canvas is our own images, we are all the phoenix rising.
